As part of my Brazilian Art: Inside & Out class, I drew heavy inspiration from Brazilian artist Vik Muniz's multimedia collages and puzzled together a collage of my own room here at Smith College. Growing up, I've never had my own room and always shared it with my younger sister. So, this year was the very first time I had my own room. I decorated the walls with posters and memories, and really made this room my own space. A space I can retreat to for solace, for friendships, for sleep and for dreams.
